Style Tips: Suspender Belts & Stockings

As its Valentines week we’re taking a closer look at how best to wear our new Suspenders!

Whether its your first time or you’re a seasoned pro here’s some top tips and fitting room secrets from our Myla Team…Feel free to leave your own tips in the comments below!

Suspender styles and where to wear them…

Whether opting for a traditional suspender style or waspie, the best place to wear them is on the small of your waist. Nipping you in and making the most of your womanly curves or giving you the waist you lust for, it creates the perfect hourglass silhouette.

Top Tip: Remember to undo the back Suspender legs to their loosest before putting them on, this will make it easier to adjust without your stockings pinging off!

Attaching your stockings…

A super top tip is to be prepared! Attach your stockings to your suspender belt before putting them on. Clipping your stockings in place and then putting them on in one will save any unnecessary and awkward bending trying to attach the back clips! (Especially if you’re changing into them after a couple of drinks!)

Style Tip: Wearing Seamed stockings? To keep the line running straight, with your right hand run your thumb up the inside of the stocking seam line while you put them on, while holding the front of the stocking with your left hand!

Whether you choose to wear a brief or thong with your suspender belt make sure you adorn yourself with your suspender belt and stockings first. Wearing your chosen brief or thong over the top of your suspenders will make for easy removal or if you’re wearing them out… saving any bathroom dilemmas!

Opting for hold ups?

If you’re not one for stockings or wearing a bodysuit or set that doesn’t come with a matching suspender belt then Hold Ups are the perfect alternative. Especially if you would like to achieve a similar look! With a wide silicone band to the top they will hold in place well…

Top Tip: Hold ups keep falling down? Keep your legs well moisturized and this helps the silicone band stick, take a little travel pot out with you or use your hand cream if needed!
