London's uber-cool Notting Hill was the setting for Myla's first store, which opened
in 1999. Initially renowned for gorgeous lingerie, Myla's fame spread with an exclusive
range of innovative
bedroom toys created by world-leading designers.
Seductive and just begging to be touched, these sophisticated playthings could soon
be found on display in art galleries and on coffee tables, not hidden away in a
Myla was then invited to open a concession in Selfridges and swiftly became one
of the store's best-selling lingerie brands. Further boutiques followed in all of
London's most fashionable districts: Walton Street, South Kensington; Kings Road,
Chelsea; and Burlington Gardens, Bond Street.
By 2004, our brand went international with the opening of our first stateside branch,
on New York's Upper East Side. Myla received a further stamp of approval with a
concession in London's most famous department store, Harrods.
Today, Myla is one of the UK's leading
luxury lingerie brands, with 12 boutiques and concessions. This
year alone has seen impressive expansion, including a new boutique at Canary Wharf
and a new flagship store in The Village at London's Westfield shopping centre. And
Selfridges just can't get enough of us either, giving us an even bigger and better
presence in store.
We also have a thriving online, mail order and wholesale business, with thousands
of very satisfied customers all over the world.
Sexy in the city
In our first year, Vogue featured our brand in their hallowed pages every month,
placing us firmly on the fashion map. Since then, we have attracted many secret
admirers in the celebrity world. Kate Moss came to us for bespoke lingerie, while
our famous lace and freshwater pearl G-string memorably put a smile on the face
of Sex and the City's Samantha. And when Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon were
in town recently, they knew there was only one place to come for lingerie that puts
the 'A' in A-list.
